![]() Those with the Blitz LM FMIC please help!
So my Blitz FMIC for the s13 SR didn't come with any english instructions, however everything was straight forward. The only problem I've encountered is the nipple fitting that comes with the kit does not fit well onto the lower hotpipe. The fitting itself quite obviously fits onto the welded bung on the lower hotpipe, but it's very difficult to screw in. I've only gotten the fitting screwed in about half way with a wrench and I'm afraid to torque it down to the point that the bung on the lower hotpipe cracks. Here's a pic of the nipple fitting: ![]() And here's a pic of the bung/lower hotpipe: ![]()

check the threads with a thread checking tool, then you will have your answer.

that fitting has a "pipe thread" which means it tapers and tightens on itself and uses either teflon tape or thread sealant to seal instead of an o-ring or washer on a regular(standard or metric thread fitting). as long as you can turn the first couple of turns by hand, you aren't cross threading it. don't know a torque spec you should tighten to, but very snug should be good enough if you have enough teflon tape or i usually thread sealant or silicone sealer on the threads.
