3 cylinders strong: rise of the Panda (pics & vid)
Some of you might remember me. Betting most wont. Here's a small progress update:
I've been rebuilding my S14 every now and then, and have gotten it up to a driveable state. Early comp test showed 80psi in the #1 cylinder, but since it wasn't smoking I figured I'd drive it around anyways to flog some kinks out while waiting for my built motor to get rebuilt. Lately I've been getting "braver" and did a few 10psi tests. Car is puffing every now and then but not really blowing oil out, so I'm betting my rings are decent. Some specs for those that don't know: D2 coilovers: 9kg/ 7kg springs Whiteline sways Lots of lateral bars 18x10 Motegi Touge wheels, 285/30/R18 Kumho V710 tires (x4) KA24DE engine GT28RS turbo (on the "original" T25 flange KA manifold) Bunch of one-off custom crap Next to the DD: ![]() Wheel fitment: ![]() ![]() Video of a friend driving it at NYR SCCA Finale: ![]() (Click to view)
