![]() Well I took it upon myself to figure out the wiring of the backup lights on an S13 with an auto to 5 speed swap.
Well here it is. The middle connector of the auto harness, there are several green and brown wires. If you hook up two wires to the reverse gear switch (the forward most plug on the trans) and hook them up to the Green w/blue and to the Green w/white wires you will Have backup lights. You don't have to worry about getting the wires backward, all you are doing is competing a circuit when it is put into reverse. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Josh |

Good looking out.
If you're desperate and absolutely have to have reverse light, you can also wire up a switch to activate the lights. Just make sure you turn it off after you're done backing up ![]() |

sorry for bumping an old thread, but thought i would add more info:
from the automatic harness side, it is the black and green wire. I have a 1992 s13.
