New ECU and i think its got a ROM tune please help

hey whats up guys, I got a sr20 blacktop and i was having problems getting it running right. this is when it was all stock..well after a little bit i just got a new ECU and it ran perfect. so long story short I have this extra E5 ECU sitting here. I was building the motor, new turbo, head work, blah blah blah. Anyway i was going to send the ECU out this week but i actually put the 2 together and i forgot which one made the car run right lol..so i was sitting there and i was like wutever i opened up the E5 ECU and i saw this mother board thing with wires and i opened up the E6 and i didnt have the same thing. so i was wondering if any of you guys knew what it was or is this the way it just is?!?!. if any of you guys can help me out it would be great thanks alot.
