Arrow Is it worth the effort?~

Im trying to decide wether or not I should toss the KA24 in favor of an SR from an s15 or a skyline. I realize an engine rebuild would cost just as much, however if the engine swap was done, it would be stock for a lil bit ( money would be spent). If I was to rebuild the engine I would have the benifit of fully modified internals. I am not a fan of turbo lag. With this in mnd if I were to chose the rebuild, It would be built to be a naturally aspirated monster(wishful thinking). The KA24 that is in right nowhas roughly80thousand miles on it. I was wondering if I rebuilt this engine(new gaskets, pistons, ect) how long would the engine last. I realize how open this question is but I just need a rough estimate. I am thinking around 200,000 but I couldd be wrong and I would Like some input.
The skyline engine(RB26DETT) could throw off the 50/50 weight distribution of the late model 240sx. Still undecided that is alot of power to shy away from. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am planning on starting this project, most likely the end of this year or the begining of next year. If I make up my mind,I will post pics so people dont think I am just talking about doing something. THanks
