s13 trans. in s14- I searched... sticky it?

First- i searched. Found a few saying that the s13 trans. can be used in s14, but the CAS is lacking. GOT IT. It would be nice to get an entire fact thread on the trans. differences and what can be done to avoid a CEL in a sticky. I see ton's of threads asking if it will work, but nothing more specific than YES.

My question is- What exactly needs to/can be done to use a s13 trans.(and s13 bellhousing) on a obd1 s14 WITHOUT THROWING A CODE? Also, does anyone know what all the extra sensors are, and what can/can't be used?

The s13 trans is on the car and only ONE sensor from my s14 harness plugs in. There are about 3 or 4 other tranny plugs which won't connect to anywhere on the trans. Can i just take sensors off a s14 trans. and connect them to the s13 trans, or does it not work like that?

Thanks .

this link is more descriptive.

The sensors will have to be wired manually. You mainly need the reverse harness wired up. You will also have to get a S14 speed sensor if you are using a S13 tranny. For the CAS you can drill a hole on the flat part of the bell housing.

I believe if the CAS is not connected, you will throw codes but I'm not too sure.
