OK, so I really like the red Momo race air shift knob, ebrake handle, and tuning pedals...they all match and are made by the same company which is important to me <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'> A friend told me that their quality sucks though, so I did a search on here. Seems like there are good and bad opinions on it. Does it just depend on what specific item you buy...how you take care of it....or is it all just crap??

I have bought a Momo steering wheel that seemed to be very good quality, maybe could have been made with better material to be more solid.
I bought a few Momo shift knobs back in the day and I must say they are a complete waste of $. Total POS's fall apart every other day and never can fit any shifters right. |

I agree. I've had experiences with their knobs & boots, and they're horrible at fitting, horrible at staying on, and horrible at staying together. Not nearly as bad as the "apc" or whatever else is cheap out there, but bad enough to the point where it'll frustrate you.

I have a Momo knob. Works fine. Maybe you all just need to stop being a bunch of pussies and learn how to "adjust" the set screws <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='

I have a momo knob and pedals in my GTI, and they fit great. They were in the car when I bought it and the previous owner installed the knob wrong, though... It has a momo boot, too, and he didn't set it up so that the boot could be threaded onto the knob.... I keep meaning to fix it <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sigh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='
![]() Momo equipment is at least OEM quality, but if it's not installed properly or if it just doesn't fit your car, then it could be a problem. Like most European stuff, it tends to fit European cars better. A company like that would go under if their stuff didn't fit a VW Golf like a glove (it was the most popular car in Europe for years). |

!?!?!!
I'm surprised at the feedback re: momo! I've found their quality to be at least 'pretty good'. If you have fitment issues then you'll undoubtedly have a hard time, but the quality of finishes, stitching, materials and overall craftsmanship (i.e. everything other than fitment for those who're having fitment issues) seems absolutely top notch to me! Momo steering wheels are among (AFAIK) the top choice for "real" race car drivers (or so I'm led to believe) while their shift knobs are not only 20 times nicer than anything else out there on the market (less maybe Nismo) and none can (or should be able to) refute their steering wheels' quality! Now I wouldn't buy their RIMS, MUFFLERS or exhaust TIPS, but I have no problems using their pedals, steering wheels, shift knobs/boots and even seats. (Even though I REALLY want a Bride. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=' ![]() Whatever, I suppose 'your mileage will vary'.
