Anyone run amber lights?

Back in the day when people used to race, old skool import car enthusiasts used to wire up their amber lights. If they smoked someone in a race they would turn them on to let the loser know that he got owned. Nowadays people just flash their hazards.

Anyway, I was bored so I wired up the amber lights in my s13 and s14. The factory turn signal socket and bulb in the s13 and s14 (amber lights) has a single filament. It only lights up when you use the hazards or turn signals.

To run amber lights simply swap out that single filament socket and bulb for a double filament socket and bulb (From an s13 in the yunkyard) and hook the extra wire up (Green/White) to a rocker switch on teh console or dash and run power from the cigarette lighter or ash tray light wire. With double filament bulbs the amber lens could stay on and blink at the same time.

I won’t be using them on my stock ka24de powered s13 any time soon but my s14 could use them just in case hehe.
