low hanging megan DP and HKS hi-power combo???

yo yo,
95 SR
2 questions:
I have a issue with a low hanging exhaust.

Its a megan racing downpipe with a HKS hi-power exhaust.

at the middle of the car it hangs very low and kinda looks shitty from the back.

now, should i invest the time and money in getting the downpipe cut and welded highier? or just buy a new downpipe that you guys know will be tighter to the body?

Also on the megan racing downpipe, there are three nuts that hold the downpipe to the turbo elbow. top, left, and right. i cannot get a wrench or a socket on the left nut because the pipe itself is too close to the nut and there is no space/clearance to get the socket on the nut?!?

any suggestions at all???

Thanks guys. -J

1. Just section the pipe. I did, I've been running the same MR pipe for a year now and it's great.

2. Take an open ended wrench, with the box end on the other side. Stick the open side onto the nut, perpendicular to the nut, so not like the normal way of using a wrench.

[] )-------() like that

Then, take a large screwdriver, insert it through the box end of the wrench, now turn. ta da.

well you can do the ghetto mod that i did, which is putting hose clamps on the exhaust hangers, which will compress them and make them higher, i gained about 2in of clearance from that alone. For the downpipe, i'd recommend that you try hitting it from the bottom, like under the car, since you have a better angle on it, i have a megan downpipe and it was giving me problems as well, but i am not having any clearance problems with it, and i'm also running a hks hi-power.

thanks...seems to me that a combination of sectioning the DP as well as sectioning the exhaust hangers would allow me much more clearance.

The issue with the DP bolts is tough tho because [] )-------() cant happen because there is no space for a whole wrench to fit between the body of the car and the DP. That is why I am trying for the socket, which won't fit.
