Calling this promotion “The Ultimate Steal” is spot on when you consider that this is a savings of over 90 percent of the retail price of Office Ultimate 2007. The retail price is what students might think they would have to pay, when much lower pricing such as this has been available to students for many years.

heh, microsoft gave me a copy of office ultimate for free at the office launch party. i think that was the "ultimate steal"

This is a smart move on their part.

I might buy it just because my Vista laptop's version of office was a trial and is now expired. Some of my professors are requesting Power Point presentations so I may have to pony up.

Other than that, I'm liking Google Docs right now. It definitely surpasses Word and Excel with being able to access my documents anywhere.
