s14 zenki j30 headlight swap q's

so Ive done like an hour of searching so far and I have found some people that said "do the swap" or not aggressive enough... thats about it. Does anyone here ACTUALLY have pictures of the swap on a zenki? What about people who have done or seen the conversion first hand and can truly attest to its feasibility?

I picked up a Zenki last night with front end damage and I wouldn't mind projectors for the same price. Please don't just fill this with opinions, I want to make my own judgment. It just seems that the more searching I do the more hearsay I found...

edit* found this http://www.dapcwiz.com/misc/j30lamp.jpg

I think its sexy and functional so I am doing it. Leaving thread for reference for others

That gold car belongs to another Montrealer, Robin.
I saw the car in person, it's different. Corners aren't a perfect fit.
You will have to customize the front grill, or remove it entirely as the j30 headlights are shorter by about 3 inches.

I'll try to find more info on the local forums

See my sig? this is my dd but my fun cars an s13 with full r32 front. I dont mind banging the headlights a bit or doing a little grinding/plastic work. Im a little too fearless for my own good with this stuff lol.

if the grill doesnt look right I can always make one out of glass.
stock s14 grill or j30?
if you dig out anything helpful that would be great!

I picked up mint j30 headlights and corner lights a few hours ago on ebay 184 shipped.

Did you know that in Japan, the Leopards came with both the projector lights, as well as an earlier version halogen lights.

just like the Cefiros and Silvia S13s.

i think you should do the j30 headlight to make your zenki look different. who cares if you don't have a grill. just find a bigger koyo radiator or if your turbo find a taller intercooler.

looks a little goofy. I'd rather retrofit some projectors into zenki housings with FK covers.

yea a lot of people aren't big fans of it from what I could see, but personally I don't care. I like it and my opinions the only one that counts on my cars

I dont think the lights look goofy, they are already so very close to zenki lights. Zenki's with FK covers and retrofits would be sexy x10 - but this is functional as well as practical.

This cars my DD so I am better spending time and big money on fun mods on the s13. It gets my new car on the road cheaper, and the lights are already done for me!

This ones NA and going to stay NA. I picked it up for 800 bux - rust free mint ka (hate me if you want).

Might eventually get light bolt ons if someone clears out a serious deal but thats about it.

Ill make a grill, if these are smaller most likely I will just extend the factory zenki grill with glass.

brian: interesting tidbit, yes useless but random fact was cool.

ugh someone neg repped me for this thread... gay.

I like it better without the grill.

But headlight/taillight conversions are like sooo 2000.
