so my coolant is definilty leaking out of the weep hole in my water pump so i am replacing it.my car hasnt overheated yet but when i turn it off it stays at normal operating temp for a long time like 2 hours. is that because the water pump sucks. couldnt find anything about that.

Not sure, but I'd highly recommend getting a GOOD aftermarket water temp guage. Stock KA or not.

The factory temp gauge is crap. It basically has 3 levels: cold, operating, and overheat. I wouldnt really trust the temp gauge if you know you have possible temp issues
