I think that is for the stock boost control solenoid.(boost cut) but I'm not sure though

That looks like it could be part of the stock boost solenoid setup, but either way you don't need it, you will just run whatever the spring is in the actuator which is around 7-8psi stock. With the solenoid stock SR's run around 9-10 psi I think. The solenoid allows for safety boost(car throws a cell it will run the lowest boost possible, 7psi) and also boost increase with a rom tune or whatever. Most people just get a boost controller and/or upgraded actuator.

Ok sweet! so idon't need it, but in other words i could be pushin more psi with it! lol. Well i need to get my sr tuned, because it doesnt sound like its running right! I think the timing is off. Do you know about how much it would cost me just for a normal tune, or getting the timing back on track!

However, if you have no clue what you're doing or where to even start, I suggest taking it to someone who does, or finding some friends to help before damaging your new investment. |

![]() ![]() Do the timing yourself, just pick up a timing gun and download the FSM that the other guy showed you. There is a process to putting the ECU into timing/idle set mode, like on the KA you have to unhook the TPS, not sure what the process is on the SR (probably the same)... Check for boost leaks like was suggested. |
