upgrading belts?

im putting my unorthodox pulleys on this weekend. should i change my belts? are there such things as performance belts? thanks in advance

no, but you will need different belts for the smaller pulley

should i just contact unorthodox racing to find out what belts i need? the pulleys look the same the unorthodox ones are just lighter.

if they aren't underdrive pulleys, then you can use the stock belts, if they are underdrive pulleys you can just measure yourself

i put on unorthadox pulley set,, and just bought a couple of different belts from the local parts store untill i found one that fit.
but even after installing them i didnt really notice a difference at all

I believe Napa and O'Reiley's (sp?) carry them. Not sure about Advance and Autozone. Just go in and ask.

yea i know for sure that Napa carries Gates belts, and i'm pretty sure if you goto unorthadox's website and i'm pretty sure they have the belt sizes on there.. IIRC

285K4 and 390K3 are the alternator and water pump, don't remember the A/C. That's if you're using the underdrive crank pulley.

Goodyear makes a good belt called the gatorback....I believe that they are available at autozone.

the only aftermarket belts that i know are from power enterprise. i got them awhile back from a seller on here...they're red.

they say that they have kevlar woven into them...but who knows.
