Well, i got to this point where it's either bringing the whole head to the machine shop and let em work on it, or continue with messing up my engine and take the valves and springs out. I've spend the whole day today driving around looking for a valve spring compressor (vsc) that i could use to get the messed up valves out. well the vsc for the overhead cam didn't work, since the little thingies that are supposed to catch up at the bottom are to big to fit in.
So what i was wondering is if someone did this before, which valve spring compressor did u use? |

I used one I bought from PAW (Performance Automotive Warehouse). Part Number HTL-1696. It was like $23.00
You can order online (sorry no pictures, but it sort of looks like a 2 jaw pulley puller) at http://www.pawinc.com It worked great on my KA24E head. |

i made my own and rigged it up to my drill press that has a lock on it. so i can compress the spring and use two hands to fiddle with the retainers
