Just got outbid on a nice KMD one. Bastard!

Either way I found this one. Made by OBX?? It seems like a lot of people are jumping on the SR Header bangwagon. From what it looks like it seems like a copy of the KMD which is probably a copy of something else.

Anyone have any experience with these stock replacment manifolds? I know someone with the HPI and he says he loves it. I just wanted to know if there are other ~500 dollar options.

Thanks

Construction looks pretty solid. I would personally like to see it in person though. Sure...a nice turbo manifold for little money is good, BBUUUUUTTTTT I'd hate myself if I bought something that cracked/broke due to cheapness.

I agree. I mean, Ken's kit is super nice, but I'm not sure I want to pay $2800 for more power. If I could just get a nice mani that would keep the turbo in the stock location, I could get a GT2530 or GT2835 and have an easy 300+ hp. That setup would leave plenty of money for 550cc injectors, a Z MAFS and a JWT ECU. What am I missing (besides cheap shit like oil lines and clamps and whatnot)?

That manifold is nice... just too many weld locations which means, more places for the mani to crack. I picked up the KMD manifold and should be installing it in the next couple of weeks. My friend also purchased one and he installed his yesterday.. beautiful piece.

I have the KMD manifold on my car and it's very nice. For the price tag, you can't beat it! Send an email to [email protected] if you're interested in buying one, he's not just selling them on eBay.

Thanks for the info guys.

Eric your set as far as peices for a turbo upgrade. The beauty of those GT series turbos (i'm not sure about the GT2835) is that they use all the stock oil and water lines plus inlet and outlet pipes and such. I don't know about the JWT ecu though. I personally am saving up for a power FC. If your dead set on replacement ECU talk to Enjuku racing they apparently got their hands on a rom editor. They'll get you an ECU for cheaper and a shorter turn around time.

Thanks for the email after I get the power FC I'll get that KMD manifold.

...not used with an internally gated turbo. These manis are designed as an upgrade for the stock mani, and hence are designed to use the stock internal gate.
