s14 What you think about the stripped S14?

I recently just stripped my back seats out of my car and instead of having bear metal show I decided to carpet it with subwoofer carpeting and it turned out pretty well. I was just wondering what other people thought of it.

BTW I have this posted over on northwestnissans I just wanted to see what you guys thought of it.

Looks nice, but I hate that gaping hole. I noticed this last night looking at xfallen1x's car, hatchbacks looks so much better stripped than coupes.

A block off panel would clean it up really nice and you could cover it in the same material.

I'll be covering my coupe's trunk plastic pieces in black subwoofer carpeting and will probably do a layer over the oem carpet just to give it some thickness and strength.

I'd rather leave the seats in

Anybody who's removed them before will realize that they weigh a negligable amount, and unless there's some specific reason why you can't have that extra 7 lbs in the rear...I would keep them

Having a stripped S14 was the biggest mistake of m life

you may as well remove the sound deadening while you're at it

I gutted just my trunk and I hear little rocks/pebbles, raindrops, and rattling all the time.

I can imagine a complete gutted car would be much worse, may even need to wear ear plugs on the track so you don't damage your hearing.

I am not sure if the Coupe rear seats are different then the Hatch rear seats, but I have sold, and shipped, 2 sets of rear Hatchback seats, and they are actually 23-25 pounds for both sections; just wanted to point that out. I think it looks good, Black would have looked a little better in my opinion, but you did a real good job, can't deny that.

agree.

if youre going to strip the back seats to save weight, why put carpet in? if youre concerned about how it looks, why take the seats out in the first place?

those things aside, i think it looks good with the carpet, but why bother?

It does look good! Honestly is there a reason for s14 back seats? Do people actually sit in them?

I know I took mine out during HS just because I was a cheap ass and didn't want to give rides to anyone.

It looks clean and if you have bass, that shit would rock socks all day long.

this is a good idea

i was considering doing the same thing to my car but got lazy so i just decided to make a cover for the hole and a flat piece where the speakers are supposed to go instead

your idea is better

my question is how did you get it to lay flat on the floor like that??

that is definetly a good idea. gives it a pretty clean look while still being gutted. I don't know if I will end up doing that to my s13, but who knows I have brown interior, gunna change all that this gives me a good idea to start.

IMHO..
It looks awesome. Great alternative to it just being empty, bare metal.

but my question is....

does it stay in place?

i would assume if say you lay something on it with enough weight
the carpet would move across the floor?

any clips?
adhesive?
