Question what material should i use?

OK, some of you may remember my upholstery thread. i used suede for a couple people on here. i never finished my own cars interior because i wasn't sure on what material to use. now that i found a few that i like, i cant decide. what do you think would look best?

here is a pic of the colors i chose to go with on my car. it is like a pea green (top) and a darker moss green (bottom). the idea is for the inside of the car to flow with the out side.
(and no wise cracks on the 4x4 status of my car, coilovers aren't on yet)

keep in mind that this fabric will be used on my door panels, headliner, glove box, center armrest, shift boot, and maybe on the center cushion of my bride brix II.
here are some fabrics i liked. im diggin the dragon one.

Go to JoAnn's, they have like 1000 different fabrics. I'm sure you can find something. Dont use any of those fabrics, you should use something green or tan. It shouldnt clash with the exterior. Something like these colors.

I personally wouldn't waste my time or money into something like upholstery

judging from the pictures you could probably spend your money elsewhere

have any pictures of your current interior?

i guess i would go with a solid color, or a basic pattern. the fabrics you've posted would all look kinda tacky and cheap imo. Keep it basic. that way in a couple years when your taste changes you won't be pissed at yourself for putting in all that work to make it look like a god damn japanese comic book. but each to his own. the workmanship on the suede looks good, but it still ain't my style

PErsonally, I cannot stand when people put little asian cartoons and all this crap on their upholstery. If I had to pick one, it would be the dragons, but just due black. Girls will think you're straight. :P kidding man.

But like I said, if I HAD TO CHOOSE ONE. Dragons.

If you could find something to match the background of the dragons I would use it with the dragons as accents.

I want to do mine in a heavy canvas type of material matched with some cream leather.

the main thing to think about before you buy any fabric as far as a car interior would be how much time you spend in contact with some of the areas, how easy is it to clean and how durable is it if you come in constant contact with it.

can never go wrong by gutting it removing all the tar painting and putting in a role cage, its clean simple and serves a purpose.

I'd go with black suede.

From the fabrics you posted:
Top-left - A lot of GIRLS have tattoos of those Chinese/Japanese symbols.
Top-right - Reminds me of Chinese restaurants (nothing against Chinese restaurants).
Bottom-left - Japanese alphabet.
Bottom-right - Japanese poetry/symbols.

Just go with a solid color suede and it'll be dope.

+1 for suede, the designs would be kind of tacky if used as much as you're saying you'd use them... If anything, keep that to a shift boot and nothing more.

stick with the suede. If you want to get creative go with different color but stick to dark colors. Are you going to paint the car anyother color? You sticking with the flat military green color? I would suede the dash and and the roof but I would use leather on the arm rests and door panels as it looks better. If you get froggy suede the center console it will look good. Or get nasty with it and stitch the suede in a cross parttern before you lay it down....
