I'm going to look at a 240 today, low miles, 3500 bucks, 5spd. coupe driven by a girl, at a dealer in cleveland.
I'm assuming that it will be 89 or 90 sohc, and i am planning on doing the sr swap eventually. I'm wondering if it is worth it to wait and find a dohc car in the first place to save me the trouble of swapping sohc to dohc, or if i should just not worry about it if it's a good deal. Also if there are any things i should look for on the 240 that i wouldn't think of i'd like to know what those are.

if its a good deal, get the car. I havn't done the sr swap, but I think with the sohc you only have to use the dohc ps lines and gage cluster.
Try looking at heavythrottle.com or sportcompactcarweb.com for swap info. If the car is a hatch, look for rust around the rear spoiler. good luck trying to find a 240 <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> |
