Okay, here's something weird ....my 240sx came stock with an alarm system and when I first got it, it worked fine. Now after 2 months I press the gawsh darn button on my keychain to activate it and only my lights went on and it didn't go along with the alarm. I pressed it again and the lights flashed 2 times and still no sound. Could it be the alarm got disconnected? But then again, when I hold the button down for my alarm, it starts going crazy ....is there anything in my wiring gone wrong ...? or a fuse burnt out? or is it just my battery? or can I just get a little help from all of you smart and cool people that know so much about my beloved RPS13? please??

when it goes crazy is there any sound?
If there is sound, on the remote I'm guessing there's two buttons, 1 and 2. Usualy when you push the 2 button it makes it no chirping sound. If you push 2 again, it should be back to normal.

OkAy, I checked up on my alarm. The number 2 button doesn't work. And I keep messing with it and nothing really happens....

i have a viper system so this may be totally different but...it has a valet mode that can be accidently cut on if you accidently hit lock-unlock-lock while the door is open(i've done it twice). The alarm will still work, just no beeps like you said. To get out of it, open the car door and hit, lock-unlock-lock and it should be back to normal....if not just ask the dealer.
