Using a GT turbine housing on a T28, possible?
I'm basically building a frankenstein turbo, and I have a T28 center section. I have a GT28R turbine housing coming in the mail for me, and was wondering if they would "fit"?
I understand that the T25/T28 turbine housings are attached via 4 bolts, and the gt turbine housings use 6. I was thinking about machining custom plates, to combine the two. The only thing I need to know is if the openings are the same? |

trim is a function of wheel diamter.
it could work if the trim was smaller I geuss, but thats probably not the case, and having basically clipped T28 would be the worst turbo ever. |

The GT housing with an NS111 turbine wheel will have a larger diameter than the 53mm wheel in a T28/GT2560R. It'll be like constantly having your wastegate cracked open a bit - i.e. it'd suck.
