Unhappy Oil Pressure Sender - Help plz?

Hello, I've been looking around, and I can't figure this out. I plan to take out the stock oil pressure sender and replace it with an aftermarket sender connected to (of course) an oil pressure gauge. However, I'm not sure what kit I should get -- I was wondering what you guys would recommend. I've heard good things about expensive things made by Defi as well as good things about those relatively cheap Autometer gauges.

Another thing -- I've heard that you have to get a thread adapter for certain pressure senders because the threads included with whatever kit (mainly Autometer)don't fit correctly. Any info on this? What would I have to buy in order to make the sender fit on the KA24DE?

Last question: If I get an American-made oil pressure gauge w/ sender, I'll probably have to get an adapter for the oil pressure sender right? Probably have to get something to convert between NPT and BSPT or Metric right? On the other hand, if I get a Japanese gauge, it will probably fit, yes? Are thread sizes mainly universal for all japanese cars? Any info on the adapter I'd have to get, if I do have to get one at all?

Damn, I'm so confused
Any help would be uberly appreciated!
