code 76???

my check engine light came one and i read the code. it came out to be code 76. i check the 240faq on 240sx.org and it told me it was fuel injection system. what the hell does that mean? i got to replace the whole damn thing? if some could explain a little more about this code, id be thankful. thanks

It means you should start using Mobil and Shell... ditch that Unocal 76 crap! Sorry, I didn't think that helped much.
Has you car been running irregularly, or is this code just something that's been around since the day you bought the car? Try resetting the codes (instructions should also be on the 240sx.org page) and see if it comes up again; once in a while little problems may arise but may never reappear...
If it comes back, maybe bring it to a dealer?

well heres the deal. the car was a hand me down from my bro. we bought in 95, used with 508 miles. i got it with about 73k. but the engine does run kinda funny. i dont know when it started but its been this way for a while. if im at a stop every once in a while the engine will fluctuate, from 400-1200rpm. ive read sooooo many situations about this on a KA motor. its common problem i guess. this is also the second time the code appeared. the first time i got the code was about 4 months ago. i know it will eventually come back though. i just want to fix the problem. but i do plan on doing the infamous SR20 swap. but for as long as i have that motor, i want it to run. preventive maintainace i guess.
