idling problems

I washed my car's engine on saturday night and when i drove it home it seemed fine. But when i tried to start it on sunday morning it shook really bad and idled low. It would also drive weird. The way that it is driving weird is that it idles really low and when im driving it seems that it doesnt respond right. When im just steadily accelerating it seems like it will accelerate a little then a lot and then a little. thats how my idling situation is also, i can be idling from 1100rpm-500 and bouncing back and forth maybe 10 times in a minute. whats the deal? i think that i might have shorted something... How can i fix this? I had a post previously about this relating to my oil leak, but its not related to my oil in any way, i have been assured that by many

get a bottle of fuel system cleaner, maybe a little water got through the seal between the injector and the intake manifold. you can check inside the distributor cap to make sure no water got in there. also disconnect and clean all the electrical conection if they have corrotion.
I hope this help.

One piece of information is that for some KA's, there is a terminal idle problem, where it will not settle down and idle off like that. There are a lot of checks though, you can check out your plugs, plug wires, vacuum lines, the idle sensor on the side of the intake plenum, check the wiring near the area where you were washing. Break it down, is it electrical, vacuum or fuel? If things are dry and somewhat clean, then it may be vacuum or fuel. If the vacauum lines seem pretty decent, then I'd move on to possibly the fuel delivery?

i found out what the problem was...

the problem

its not idling rough anymore though, but i took the car in to get the rattling noise checked and it turns out that my timing chain is about to break and the guide was broken. Turns out that it would just be more wise to swap out the engine now... so SR20DET here i come!
