my friend with a turbo mk3 supra told me this can be more reliable than any aftermarket manual boost controllers... do any of you seem to have a problem with shimming the waste gate to turn up the boost? and down sides? thanks for any replys...

This is on an internally actuated wastegate... But they should all (or most) be adjustable by turning them. I don't see why shims would be necessary.
