dont have pics right now but what i do is i put hose clamps around the exhaust hangers before and after the diff.I tighten them as much as i can so it sucks the exhaust up a little more, plus it makes it stiffer to.

In for pics.

I just had custom exhaust done 2.5" DP and 3" SS all the way back. I'm not super slammed yet (winter in NY) but I'm going lower in a few weeks. I'm looking at my setup and looks like it should be fine, it will be close though. I might try the hose clamp idea to save a few mm.

i want to make like an oval exhaust piping. this way it would be flatter but wider and clear better.

there is a company that makes a downpipe like this for the sr20's

only bad thing is that if it takes a good hit, being oval it would dent alot easier. but if i ever get the money im going to try it.

RSR Ex-Mag. Only scrapes I got on it were from getting stuck in super steep driveways. Piping was pretty much immaculate when I pulled it off to sell it. The connection between the header and the car were lower than the exhaust itself. And this was on shitty hanger bushings as well, Would have sat even higher if I had better bushings in place.

my GP Sports EXAS SPec D huggs the chassis pretty nice. Was designed to do so...not frame scraping, but decently low for Pennsylvania roads

Just don't get an HKS Hi-Power. Mine's not close to the body at all.

I'm definitely gonna try that hose clamps on the rubber part of the hangers, though. My exhaust always loosens itself up really quickly. I know I've got a KA, but it takes literally about a week before it starts rattling again once I tighten it back up.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, it's my favorite exhaust for sure, but it just sucks for ground clearance. I got some hose clamps today, and once I finish installing my header tomorrow, I'll tighten up those hangers and see what it does for me.

couple of tips:

downpipe position is usually the main concern. Chop off a couple inches off the "down" part to tuck the piping closer to the body... and all is good. I'd take a picture of my DP setup, but you get the idea.

also, tighten up the exhaust bushings with some metal hose clamps, you can save up to about an inch or more

yeah...that's fuckin low.

I will probably have problems with my skyline, my s13 isn't gonna go horribly low. the oval exhaust is a great idea, it gives a different exhaust note too.

haha... shit is scary. Before I modified my DP, my flex piece part of my dp used to hit freeway reflectors when I changed lanes. I had to plan out my lane changes accordingly and dodge reflectors, because when I hit them, I'd feel the piping hit me from under my seat, and it would hit hard!

I'd also scrap like crazy doing 3 pt turns in neighborhood streets that "hump" too much toward the middle.
