SOHC burning oil....

ok i recently got a valve job. got the car running. everything seems fine but it burns oil. the engine is practically new. new rings, bearings, pcv valve, etc. i compression tested it. 155 all across. could this be coming from the head ? bad valve seals maybe ? arent machine shops suppose to change the seals when you get a valve job? i really doubt its burning from the block. any ideas ?
