ok.. not everytime but sometimes when my car has about a 1/4 tank or less my car starts idling bad .. at about 1500RPM and when i tap the gas the rev drops back to 750RPM and theres black smoke coming out of my tailpipe.

also when i shut off the car in this state it doesnt start up agian.. it needs to sit/cool for a few hours and it will start agian.. needless to say this is a very annoying problem. ive asked this board before if they could give a diagnostic w no avail. anyways this problem also is associated to turning on the heater?.. weird.

Have you stored your car for a long period of time in the past? If so it may be bad fuel that if just hanging out at the bottom of your tank. I don't know...really if it hasn't sorry. Maybe add some Sta-bil and see what happens.

no i ahvent stored the car for long.. its my daily driver..

but maybe its some carbon build up .. i've never ran low on gas in this car.. like ive never seen my fuel light come on..
