I'm glad you mentioned this topic...
I've noticed that there seems to something floating in my gas tank.... when even i come to quick stop or a heavy bump, I have something clanking around in the back.... I've norrowed it down to the gas tank cause when I top it up, I don't hear a thing.... anybody have any ideas? |

im taking it off because i need to change my fule pump and i cant get the fule lines off with the space i have to work with so i figure it will be easy with it off. and also theres like 10lbs of dirt on top of the tank i want to get it off and paint some of the undercarrage too |

Well I can see how it would be useful to paint under the car but to change the fuel pump I don't recall it requiring to take off the fuel tank. Can anyone confirm or digress?

i know you dont need to take off the tank but. my fuel lines are not flexable enough to get them off in the space i have with the tank on. so im gonna see if its easier to get them off if the tank is off

Use angled needle-nosed pliers to move the clamps back on the hose & pull them off. You don't have to pull the tank to replace a pump.
