d-max fender quality?

I don't know if this is the correct place to pt this, but please move it if its not? Anyways, I bought some d-max kouki non d1 spec front fenders and the quality seems a little shabby. On the top by where they meet the hood, they were sanded down a good amount and have a little ridge about a half inch to a inch form the edge. Also, some parts of the fenders are so thin because of all the sanding that light easily shines through them. I also have d-max rears that I picked up a while ago and there was slight sanding but they were smooth. So my question is, is this how they come? I would of though they were a more quality of a product, I dont know if i could trust these on my faily driver due to the scare of them cracking or breaking just from driving or the slightest parking lot incident.

Does anyone have any input? I will try and get some pics with light behind them and a straight edge to show the ridge im taking about.

yeah i planed on using a friends fender as a helper on mounting holes on the headlight then come up with some type of metal brace after I saw they where just crudely glued together and stuck on the fender.

edit:

Thanks for the help btw

If you are that worried about it throw another layer or 2 of glass on the back of it.

yeah ive thought about that as well, I didnt want to say it but i know i got these for a pretty good deal and was kinda worried that they were not real d-max fenders because I was expecting a little more in the quality department and was figuring here out of all places would let me know if they might be knock offs.

where did you buy the fenders from? There are some replicas out there that dont fit well. There are some other threads on here showing fitment of the fenders, and your fitment issues were non existent in those threads

Yep, this was the first thing I was thinking...Nothing is going to be PERFECT so take that little bit of extra time to fix it up...
