also my s14 manual tranny did not come with the sensor asembly right under the shifter on the passenger side!

i have an s13 manual tranny and my old auto tranny, but the auto sensor was a lil bigger to fit in the s14 tranny hole, and the s13 sensor has a diff looking wiering harnes!! can any of these two(s14 auto/s13) work or should i buy a new/used s14 sensor?? should i force the s14 auto sensor in the s14 manual tranny ??

Crossmembers are interchangeable.

Edit your post because the second portion of it is incredibly hard to understand.

No. Auto and manual crossmembers are different.

The other question, no clue what in Hell you're shooting at.

its a sensor with a gear at the end so when the shaft that connects to the driveshaft spins it reads how manny times it spins!! ugh its hard to explain!!!

well my auto s14 tranny has it but it slips right out of te auto tranny and does not want to fit in the manual sensor hole!! the bore is like .01 smaller ugh soo close!! so i wanted to know is it safe to force it in or get a manual one!!

I know there is a difference, but I've read (also currently using) an auto crossmember can be used.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I have S13. Whether that plays a role into the whole interchangeable issue, I don't know.

Oh you're talking about the speed sensor. You need to use the speed sensor for whatever chassis you're working on. Also, you need the manual one.

LoL at safe. Your transmission won't explode if that's what you're worried about. You just won't read the correct speed. Run it for the time being if you can't find an S14 one.

The s13 speed sensor on the s14 will make your speed read double. thus increasing the millage on your odometer faster! Get the s14 speed sensor for the manual. and i heard you have to buy the gear and unit separately. but im not sure!
