Precision turbos

i did a search, found nothing

looking into getting one of the SC series T3/TA34 (t3/t4)
for my s13 SR

.54 trim
.63 a/r stage III
comes standard with 360 degree thrust bearing for $775.. but i can get for about $700

anyone have any experience with these...or know someone who has? and i was wondering if you guys/girls thought the 54 trim was to big? should i just go with the 50 trim??

look forward to hearing your views

Too big as in it won't fit or too big for fast enough spool? Personally I was thinking of going with the T3 60 trim compressor 63 turbine, which I don't recall people mentioning it not fitting.

Of course people will correct me if i'm wrong, but lag will come with the 63 turbine. Smaller turbine will make for a faster response and bigger turbine makes for more lag. I think the that's why the T3/T4 is so popular, it has a smaller turbine with a big compressor. This makes it so the turbine spools fast and with a big compressor you're able to push out more air even faster. Man people are going to demolish this post if I'm wrong haha.

People aren't responding because either:
A) I'm right
or
B) you're being impatient
and then again
C) everyone is in their "this has been asked a million times before so I'm not responding" mood.

I would say go with the 50 trim. It can make around 450hp. (At least it does on DSMs) I had one on my Talon. It was a 50 trim compressor wheel in a T04E housing (.60 A/R) and on the hot side it was a Stage III wheel inside a modified Mitsubishi 7cm housing (.49 a/R) I was getting full spool in fourth gear at about 3400 rpms. The DSMs have the 4G63 2.0L motor. (rather simular to the SR20)

The thing to remember about the 50 trim wheel is that it is happiest over 24 psi. I was running 21 psi on 92 octane. (FMIC of course)

Email me at [email protected] I might know someone that has a turbo that would work great for you.
