When modding your car(closed hood) for show, how do you get your car to be sponsored?
If you have a chance of being sponsored, should you just go looks first for now?

To get your car to be sponsored for show, the best way is to win some shows first.

Most companies won't take a chance on an unproven person if there's already someone out there who is getting recognition.

The bulk of the show cars out there that have sponsors are either 1) built by that company ground-up and owned by either said company or an employee, or 2) are owned by someone who has already put in a large amount of time and money into their car and has already won shows.

Build your car for the type of sponsors you're looking to attract.

since its a show car might as well get on your knees......

know people. its all about WHO YOU KNOW. even if your car is decked out you wont get 1/2 a good a sponsorship as the guy w/ less stuff but he's connected all over. its about who you know. and knowing people and business is the BEST way to get sponsors. simple as that.

remember the ppl who are sponsored have already thrown in ALOT of money in thier cars.... you've got to win shows and know ppl... if your wanting to get sponsored so you can get parts cheaper, the best thing i can tell you is to go to local shop and buy strictly from them... after a while they should sponsor you in away. after a while they should start giving you discounts because they know your loyal to them. thats how i get my parts cheaper.

EDIT: or should i say "thats how i got 'sponsored' "

im 'sponsored'
few companies noathing HUGE but i love it.its perfect howi am sponsored and im 100% please
i love helping businesses get up and going and i push that stuff as much as i can till people have a good reputation of it. i'll also abuse the products at the track. getting some coilovers i'll be beating the sh*t out of for testing purposes hehehehehe..in the coming few months. have to get a review back out to the guy i got them from hehehehe...

sponsors rule. mine are the cooooolest
