^ good question, but doubtful. S13 LE hatches are pigs in comparison to other models. They come with all options and are typically HICAS as well. Just adds more to the weight.

Someone weigh their stock base model coupe, preferably 89. Really curious about the actual weight difference.

You may know this, but there may be others that do not know. I figure this would be great technical information as numbers get "thrown" out there without any documentation to prove their statements.

Numbers will still get thrown out there considering there are many variables. One major one being that there are coupes as well. I appreciate the post though. It's good info to have.

I love how so many people on this forum jump on someone for posting factual, useful information...but we can go on all fucking day in a thread where we debate why someone should paint their car orange, or not.

Probably the MOST important 'spec' of a performance car is the weight.

And this guy took the time to post 100% stock weights, both with an empty tank AND full.

It's good info, people...lay off.

I weighed it at home. Purchased a corner weight system $$$ to work on my car and several other friends. Thought it would be informative for everyone else whom is interested in documented data.

On 'real' scales, or junkyard/dump/scrapyard scales?

If 'Longacre', or any scales that are 4 pieces (one under each tire)...then...specs on the car?

Scales you drive onto are notoriously inaccurate at lower weights (less than ~5000lbs).

Brian.. While this is important for the development of the car. 240 owners don't understand weight. They have that "My S13 weighs 2500lbs" syndrome just because they put race seats in and took out some interior bits. They don't know they gained it all back when they threw on some 17" rota's in all the wrong areas. Guys fudge their own car's weight more than their girlfriends fudge their own. If 240 owners ever figured out how 200lbs off chassis weight and 40 lbs off unsprung weight makes their cars handle soo much better. they'd forget about all the crap manufacturers peddle. Instead they'll debate strut bars and how much better dking vs stance vs maxstreet supper power coilovers handle with no track times to back it up.
