re-installing overfenders

ok guys so heres the deal. i bought my s14 w/ rear overs(30mm origin) the previous owner slapped them on to fix quarter panel damage(accident) the quarter wass barley cut away and now that i want to get the car flush i realize how uneven the fenders are.

So what i want to do it drill out all the rivets, i know this can easily be done, seen it before. but then i want to fill in the ~25 small holes on each side, and then re mount the fenders to fit the wheels(isnt that the idea...)

Really i dont know much about body work but i am extremely handy. so what would be the best way to fill the holes? fiberglass on the inside and then body filler on the outside? actual product names would be great to what is a good body filler NOT BONDO.( i am about to paint the car so body work will be done elsewhere anyways.

well to fill the holes you can use fiberglass mat and fiberglass body filler.

try to put the fiberglass mat behind the hole and FB filler in the front.

to make things easier if i was you i would just FB the front of the hole since your still to put the overfenders againg.

and fiberglass only stick to metal and rough areas so you have to get area where each whole is at down to the metal make sure you cover the metal area with fiberglass tho or it will rust if you get it on right you wont have anyproblems since its waterproff.

regular body filler will absorb water over time and it could lead to rust later.

fiberglass body filler is waterprof so that will be better to use. plus your filling holes so it will hold up.

body filler will crack it wont hold up for a hole.

Not to say that fiberglass will not work, but you'd be better off doing it with a welder. How far are you going to be moving these fenders from the original spots?

A piece of brass behind the hole will allow you to fill the hole and not blow through the thin sheetmetal easily.
