![]() My E fan blew out two days ago so i wanna put the fan clutch back on. I have a red top in an s13. I have a dual cam KA fan clutch laying around so I planned to put it on.
I tried installing the KA fan clutch on the red top motor but the blades hit the pulley on the bottom drivers side for the a/c and power steering (which i dont have either). Did I somehow install it wrong or did i read false info saying that the fans are interchangable?

just go to the junkyard and get altima fans, they work well, and your hooptie won't sound like a semi truck.
ps I don't think the fans are interchangeable

yea i ordered new fans but im using this car as my daily and needed it done asap. my new fans will be in about a week.
looked up some faq's they said they swapped over. i know the shroud doesnt. oh well w.e. the ka fan seemed like it would have worked tho its off by so little. just like 2 or 3 mm would do the trick. possibly add a spacer or trim the backside of the fans. even better would be to take off the excess pulleys since i dont have ps or a/c. anyway thanks
