game over.

goodbye, friend. car is going to a Pa resident in the morning.

i've been contemplating it for a LOOOONG time now. it's finally for real in the morning. wire transfer cleared about an hour ago. the RB25, GT30 S14 is going to a new home. i am confident the new owner is going to take it to the next level. such a fun car. i finally got almost all the little bugs worked out and have been having a blast tearing it up around town.

i made the thread because there are so many people that say, "you'll be back". i don't think that is the case this time. it was a fun, unique car, but the money is going to aid in getting a bachelors degree. after that, who knows. E46 M3? 964 carrera or E30 M3? time will tell. i probably won't renew my premie account after it expires next summer. but it's been a fun ride.

who has sold their rides and been back in an S chassis after? who has gone a different direction. i am curious.

... There's an Oakland in Michigan?

Back to topic... who has sold their s-chassis, gotten another car, and went back? Not me... but I HAVE gotten other additional cars while keeping my 240.

How long did you have your S14 for? If it's any longer than a couple of years, I bet you you'll be back. There's nothing quite like an old S-Chassis, especially if you had a lot of memories in it.

But if you only had it for a year or two, and you say you're done, yeah, you're probably done.

5 and a half years.

YouTube - 1-2-3 gear pull

YouTube - just a quick 1-2 pull from the passengers POV.

i do have my E30 though. it's my second one, and this one is an IS. lowered on coils and bilsteins, urethane bushings, etc. we'll see. i'm gonna miss the car, but i'm not so sure i'll "be back."

and yes, there's an oakland Michigan. i live in Oakland township, in Oakland county.

Can't say I'm surprised
I've always liked your car but it seemed that every post you made about it
lacked enthusiasm.
As if owning it was a chore.

Oh well, I go through periods were I don't want to work on my cars
but I can't honestly see myself not owning a 240

I sold my S13 about a year after buying my G35.

It is on the short list of toys I may pick up next year. Seem to be putting a buttload of miles on my G. Would have to be a 14 this time with power windows and locks.

I was on the active autowerke and horsepower freaks websites last night looking at SC and turbo kits for the E46 M3. Michigan state university is next on the list though.

im thinking hard about selling my s14 and starting my masters, as i wont have time for it, (working 40+hr and school) also had it for 5years,

but idk something about the damm car makes me want to keep it every time im about to sell her.. i really want to start some thing newer like a 350z but idk something about the s-chassis keeps me hooked..

well good luck man you were one of the ones that actually bit the bullet and sold her. hope it works out

Lol, the HPF stage 1 kit is "on sale" for $13,500. I need the damn M3 first!

Priorities though. Need to get what I need to get a job to pay for that ish.

I have sold a couple of my s13's only to find myself going to pick another one up. Hopefully this upcoming weekend I will be back in a S13. Just something about the pop ups and the way it drives.

CongratulationsGreatDane, you're moving on up.

I'm completely out of the game, but often, i ponder how my lifes situation could SEEM better with another 240.

I went from S13 coupe to another coupe to a FB, back to coupe, back to FB, 14, and then FB again.

I love the community, but I started to feel it was really holding me back from living a better quality life. Its one of those Good-Riddance/I'll-Miss-These-Days kind of feeling.

Currently, my life focus is back to academics and not automotive, which i feel is a nice thing.

You've made a great choice my friend. Now get that damn M3.

Lol, thanks. It was just time. Even though I'm not going to pick up a second car for a while, the import thing is just getting tiresome. In all honesty, I'm starting to view most Japanese cars as "childish". It's lost its appeal. Don't take offense, it's just me "growing up" so to speak.

I sold my S14 that I've owned since 2002 and miss it greatly. Its was just time to move on. I don't think I will ever get back into an S-chassis again.

Good decision on going back to school. Good luck.
