i wanted to know the hp rating for an sr20det.  i thought it was 220 but my friend is saying 247.  this is the s14 engine not the s15 one.  and the s15 one is 250hp right?

wrong boddy, the S14 SR20DET is SPECIAL, its raded at 300hp, and 182 ft lbs of torque.

well i know the red top s13 motor is 205hp if im not mistaken.  and i believe the blacktop s14 motor has 15 more hp so it would be 220hp.  and i think you are right on the s15 motor being about 250hp. someone correct me if this is wrong.

im pretty sure

redtop s13 sr20det 180sx 91-93
blacktop s13 sr  180sx 94-96
------boost 7psi 205hp @ 6000 203lbs @ 4000

blacktop s14 sr 95-98
220hp @ 6000 203lbs @ 4800

s14 uses high port intake system

blacktop s15 sr20det 99-
250hp@ 6000 w/ 6 speed tranny
