NOnonono....you just need a set of hubcentric rings. You can get them anyplace that sells tires. Call them up to make sure they are in stock.
If you did not have the problem before, then you swap on some aftermarket rims, and you get this problem, you need these rings. $5.00 for 4 plastic rings. Every time you change wheels you need an alignment? You gotta be kidding me. I switch from my grip tires/rims to my rain tires/rims all the time. No alignments needed. |

try getting some wheels that are available outide of Pep Boys ricer zone and you should be good. the 17x7 +45mm offset is probably banging against your suspension causing all the horrible vibrations

seriously, just go to any decent wheel/tire shop and get them balanced. That should take care of you.
If I were doing it, I'd get the alignment, too, but if you just slapped different rims on (that weren't crazy 18's or some other "bling bling"), then you really don't NEEEEEED that alignment. Just highly recommended. |

What are Quatem Teks?
Anyway, the thing with aftermarket wheels is that the center bore is big enough to fit all types of cars. Even when you torque down your lugs they don't center the wheel perfectly. A set of $5 hubcentric rings will make a very snug fit between the wheel and the hub, in effect balancing the wheels. I know because I had the same problem with my wheels, the rings fixed the problem. Maybe I am misunderstanding. Did you mount the tires on the rims yourself? If yes, go get a balance at a tire shop. What I am thinking you did was just swap wheels and doing nothing with the tires then you should not need a tire balance. Just trying to save you from spending a grip of $$ on an alignment. Maybe if you have the toe or caster knocked way out on one or two wheels, than sure, that could be causing all that wobbling. Otherwise, what are you going to adjust that will solve that problem? |

sounds like a real line there ghetto
either A) a wheel weight or 2 fell off b) he sold you warped wheels the shop who balances the wheels can tell you what shape they are in. and ghetto: about the pricing on alignment/balance. CALL AROUND, stop looking for handouts and pick up the phone. |
