TC rods and Tie rods are the same?

are they? i just bought Tein tie rods.... now i think i bought the wrong part... i drifted into a curb... rod that connects to control arm snapped i beleave it is the Tie rod? i'm not sure anyone have pictures or anyhelp will be wonderfull thanks

Tie rods connect your steering rack to the knuckle.
TC Rods connect your LCA to the chasis.

Chances are you snapped a TC rod.

The T/C rod has a bushing at one end and that bushing connects to the front subframe then to the front Lower Control Arm (LCA)
::I belive that T/C is traction/control but don't hold me to it::

The tension rod connects from the steering rack to the hub. Used obviously to turn the front wheels (or if you have hicas they are in the rear also)

t/c rod = tension/compression (or is it tension/control?) rod...tension rod for short.
