Need a little help. I bought a S13 hatchback a couple of weeks ago with the sohc engine. This is my third s13, but this is the first one with the KA engine. The last two that I had were both back in Japan(one with a CA and the other with an SR). I've heard of storied about the s13's here in the States not being fast at all I've noticed that they still have some good lowend torque. Whats the typical mods that are done here in the states for the sohc engine because I was thinking about a swap but I don't have the cash for it. I would rather take the money for the swap and upgrade the suspension and many other things that I need for the car. Also, I noticed the other day when I was looking under the car that I didn't have the  VLSD because it had the R180 diff case that comes in the silvia q's in Japan. Whats with that? In Japan all hatchback s13 have viscuous LSD's in them. Did I get shafted for a diff that I was suppose to have?? I'm not complaining too much because I got the car for $2000. Anyway, can you guys tell me the what kind of mods I can do on the SOHC engine so I don't look like too much of an idiot out on the road.
