I seriously don't understand people. You could buy a 180sx RHD shell for around $500 or complete drivable car for $1500 and pay shipping here. Isn't that cheaper then doing your conversion?

why would you register it? To feed the poor governments children. They don't care anything about your 20yo car, just pay up and you can drive it. But wait did you know, there is a way so you can drive it and not pay up these thousands of dollars. Either you swap fire-walls or you swap some numbers and you get same thing RHD vehicle. Smart way to do it just keep your current papers, plates, and metal numbers.

here's from my experience, some people might be different dont get me wrong, I drove the car to a glass company had them remove the windshield(it was crack anyway), drove it home with a full helmet on to protect rocks etc, took out the dash, and measure twice, use a sharpie to draw my lines on where I want to cut, remove everything that was in the way so all wiring, engine etc,

Got a Plasma cutter and slowly cut the firewall, make sure to cover up your interior because if you're using a plasma cutter you dont want to burn your seat, carpet etc etc... hope that help.
and on the RHD firewall I left more metal on it then when i cut the LHD firewall, because when you cut you lose metal, so I made sure it had enough over lap to have a smooth weld instead of trying to fill in gaps

then Weld in the new firewall and swap everything over..

ok so i started my rhd today removed the engine and the whole wiring harness, dash and 2 front seats..everything is going smooth taking my time and doing things right no cutting corners so i wont have to do extra work at the end.. cutting and welding tomorrow i should start posting pics by tomorrow
ima start posting the steps....

1. remove engine swap (meaning harness, ecu, motor, tranny)
2.remove all the wiring from firewall with fuse boxes
3. remove dash to get the rest of the harness
4.remove seats
5.remove center arm rest
6. remove carpet
7. measure (multiple times)

thats how far ive gotten in the first day i will start adding steps IM DOING IN MY RHD! (im not responsible if by following MY steps you fuck shit up so dont blame me) will add all the steps when im done

after your done welding buy seam sealer from a auto paint store and cover up all the welds. when installing the interior install pedals before dash goes in. a lot easier that way. i have done a s14 sr/rhd conversion and now working on s13 sr/rhd.

^Thats exactly what I was questioning on. I didn't understand where you would buy and be able to drive a JDM vehicle, without all of the troubles of legalizing it.

ahh, to be young again....

anyways....

sooo, hopefully, the rhd clip that you got came with the harness that goes to the back of the car (fuel pump, fuel sender, tail lights, etc)

if not, youre gonna have to re-pin youre rear usdm wiring so the wiring matches and your rear end works

door wiring, well, i bought the rhd doors with power folding heated mirrors, BUT you can just swap the door wiring. (take driver side wiring, and put it in passenger side, and vice versa.)

what else...hmmm

oh, i made these, hope they help. they are the translated jdm interior fuse boxes.

one is kouki, other is zenki, both s14

ill post more small details that came up as i did my conversion

also, please convert your wipers, ebrake, gas/trunk lever.
