Rb20det misfire and smell gas!!!
i have a stock rb20 in a s14 and i just got it tuned last week and wireing issue fixed. so i started noticing that at low speeds the car would misfire, got worse and worse. now i smell gas from exaust and it misfires and horriable ide. anyone with ideas?

check to see if the plugs are gapped correctly. If its been a while since they have been replaced i would recommend changing them. Its cheap and easy. Most of the problems i get from people that bring their RB to me is improperly gapped plugs. also check to see if you have any leaks in the vacuum system.

Yea is was the coil pack, it overheated, i guess that is a comon problem and im scared to buy another one for 80$ and it burn up again. What is the cause of that? so i can avoid that happening again.

It's prob the harness swap it out they're like 50-60 new and save alotta headache . I burned thru 3 coil packs on diff cyl sets then I changed the harness n it's perf
