SR20 spark plugs
Just got a quick question, which spark plugs on my SR20DET Notchback? I heard the 93 Nissan SER?

Search guy, plenty of information out there.
Or you can pull out an old spark plug and read the number on the plug.

I don't mean to split hairs, but the new NGK part number is 4644 for that plug. I know a lot of the new systems don't agree with the BKR numbers anymore but love that 4644 number
![]() But aside from that, totally agree. Love the plugs!

What ive noticed on SR20's with OEM coil packs, if you run it up around 400-500 horsepower sometimes plugs become an issue and need a serious de-gapping. Same with 2jz-gte engines.
but iridiums seem to fix that issue. I can count at least three times that changing plugs to iridiums on the dyno fixed a breakup/misfire. I dont like it, but it does work in a pinch. |
