The hopes and dreams question.. Flame away
Hey guys.... I just feel stupid asking this and I will find out anyways as I have to replace the part in question... HOWEVER!!
I Have a 93 auto that yes is being readied for summer swap fun including a manual conversion but in the meantime would like to have a working spare car as a just incase The tranny is shifting and engaging fine when I turn the car on and about 5 mins after any type of driving will start to feel like its slipping and won't shift up gears... If I turn the car off for a min and back on it will work again for a few mins The alternator is bad which I realized yesterday after I couldn't keep it started So my question is... Could a failing alternator cause electrical issues that somehow effects Ecu logic to the tranny sensors causing it to miss shift? Basically can I replace the alternator and magically have a working car and ponys and rainbows and shit?? Again flame away i know this is dumb but just wanted to have someone crush my dreams before I build up what if excitement while I wait for an alternator (if anybody has one for a ka get at me ![]() |
