unless its a crazy good deal, like mint body, minus the frame rail, and running for sub 500$... keep an eye out for another one... stay away from that rust

Look for another car. The biggest problem is, if it's rusted that bad there, where else is it rusted? The answer is likely "everywhere". 4K is an OK deal, but I've bought cleaner cars with more/equal mods for that.

I think excessive motor sports sells / makes replacement frame rails if you do go that route. There's likely more rust in harder places though, so double check and counter offer.

Inspect the wheel wells and wiper cowl, I bet you have holes under there looking at how bad the rails are.

+1 rust isn't to hard to fix depending on the severity, but you have to think if that spots that bad what exactly is stopping any other part of the car? Re inspect, bring a jack so you can get a better look. And counter offering is already called for from the rust you already know about.

The car may have some goodies on it but 4k for a rusted car no go. Counter offer for sure.

Ya, your kinda screwed for buying a car in the Midwest. I am from Illinois so I know your pain. I over payed for my S14 because it was in Chicago but from Arizona. Saved me money in shipping or flying. Lol

Both of the 240's ive spent good money on, ive gotten from out of state. My 98 i got from texas, and my 95 from Georgia.

Ps, I paid $4000 for a rust free 95 kouki with an sr20 and power fc. Id pay max 2400 for that car.

Shift n Drift has a little shameless behavior in the past

thats a deal, man, either patch it up or just WAIT for a clean one to pop up and wreck that one instead of a hatch that has rust that is repairable, but was sent to junkyard in order to wreck clean one. Ya dig?

Damn lol thats a deal right there. I paid a good amount for my zenki that is rust free.

Ill probably just wait until the right car comes around. Thats the only problem is in Michigan if a nice 240 pops up, people think its worth like 8k when it should be half of that.
