How long did your AGX last?

I went to my local racing shop to have them check my car. I had loose suspension in front. They came back telling me that both balljoints are cooked (expected that) and that my AGX are worn out!

I have used my AGX for 15000km only (around 10 000miles) and wondered if it's possible they could wear out this quickly. Anyways... I'm getting Konis the moment I have money to replace them.

I was running AGX + Ground control (425 lb/in - 375 lb/in).

mine have probably 10k miles on them (not sure, bought them used and don't remember exactly how many miles i've put on them since) and they are fine. i'm sure someone out there has a lot more miles on them than i do. i don't know what to tell you, it sure sucks.

On my mirage, I got about 7K miles and just over a year of usage out of the AGX, with 350lb springs on them. They sucked horribly and were the worst set of shocks I've ever owned. I've also tried Tokico's and Koni's, and would HIGHLY recommend the Koni's over the others. Maybe I'll eventually get to try Teins or some of those types.

I would qualify that as an almost perfect match.

9k miles
13 months
425ln-375lb

Seems AGX cannot handle more that 300lbs...

it's says on the paper that comes with em that they're not meant to be used with lowering springs. wonder how well they do if they're allowed to have full stroke.
i've had mine with tein s.techs for 13 months, around 10k miles, no problems yet. however, s.techs are 297 lbs front and 179 rear

Koni shocks are probably better than Tein shocks

I got Ground control with AGX. 375 front, 300 rear. Works fine i've put over 20K on them with a lot of mountain racing. The left rear started making a wierd noise(something like brake pad moaning) but they still work like new.

I had AGX/GC on my KA-T. I was running similer spring rates to what you have, halo, and after about a year they were getting awfully weak. I like my Tein's (HE) ssoooooooo much better.

Ok... Good to know I'm not the only one... Seems AGX aren't as strong as they seem...
