KA KA24DE Cylinder head threads stripped....

My brother and I have just got done removing the top timing chain guide in compliance to the TSB that was released for it. After replacing the valve cover seals, I went to go about tightening all the bolts (per the service manual) in sequence. It was then my brother noticed that the threads on the bolts had shavings of the cylinder head in them! The damn kids who has this car before must've messed them up somehow (tightened too much?). Now when I go to torque them, they just keep turning! We're really freaking out as we fear it may loose compression as the new seal won't seat correctly now. He suggested that I have the holes threaded larger and get new bolts to fit. Just have to be careful when making new threads so that they don't go in lop-sided. Does anyone have any ideas (besides a new KA24DE head)?

-Upside down DTM muffler (tips point down)
-Missing front bumper
-No reinforcment bar
-Some 14 year old kid took the engine apart before I got it (used SCC magazines as guides...)
-Says "240S" on the back
-Yep, that's bondo on the side
-Guess it's under the category of "ghetto ricer" at the moment, but I'm hoping to change that.
