This is a factory turbo car, not been swapped. I got it October last year in a trade. Its has a clean and clear title that has only one accident reported. I have the car-fax to prove this. 187414 It was originally a Florida car, and has only been there and in Georgia, so it has absolutely no rust. T-top car with manual windows and a manual rack. When I got this it had a JDM ceramic wheel ct26 with bad seals and lousy intercooler couplers and clamps. It still pulled great and didn't have any problems, but the turbo needed addressing. So i bought a TD05 turbo kit from ATS racing. With all the supporting mods as follows: ATS Racing TD05 Kit: Stainless coolant and oil feed and return lines Exhaust Manifold Adapter Tial 10lb Wastegate ATS bored fuel rail and 50 psi fuel pressure regulator ATS 550cc fuel Injectors ATS TD05 Mitsubishi Turbo ATS ROM Tune Aftermarket Intercooler with Fan Shroud and 2.25" Pipes (it was installed on the car when I got it, Its eaither a nice ebay one or a KO Racing) Aeromotive FPR set at 50 psi (have the ATS FPR as well) Walbro 255 lph fuel pump KO 3" Intake pipe with filter KO EGR Delete ATS Throttle Body Inlet 3" Phoenix Departure Complete Exhaust The motor is very healthy, had the timing belt done at 176k along with new engine coolant hoses, owner before me has this paperwork. Its only running 10lbs of boost off the wastegate spring and pulls super hard, holds boost until redline unlike the ct26, and is very responsive. I don't know what mine is putting down but others with the same kit and similar mods are getting 250whp. Google it and you will find some dyno charts. I estimate it's close to 250whp. I have a manual boost controller from ATS I haven't installed. I don't find the need to increase the boost. It's a blast to drive on 10lbs. The ROM tune is good for 17 pounds of boost on 93 octane fuel. On 17bs the car should be putting down close to 300whp. With the ROM tune there is not fuel cut, factory redline is increased to 7500, and the is no speed limiter. Everything else that is on the car is as follows: BC Racing BR coilovers with extreme drop kit (shorter front springs) 8k, 10k, and 12k springs twos2us Reproduction floor mats Ashtray Gauge Pod Replaced RPM Capacitor White LED Gauge Cluster Lights Prosport Mechanical Boost Gauge Innovate LC-2 Wideband Front and Rear Crash Bolt Kit (unlimited camber adjustment) Prothane Polyurethane Bushing Kit (replaces all the bushing on the car) New Tie Rod Ends New OEM Front Ball Joints New OEM Alternator from Toyota Optima Red Top Battery New Enkei RPF1s with New Yokohama S-Drives 17x9 +22 offset up front and 17x10 +18 in the rear (also has 5mm hubcentric spacers up front to help clear the strut) Muteki NeoChrome Lug Nuts JDM Perforated Leather Seats and Door Cards JDM Climate Control 93+ Style Front Lip (its slightly bigger than a 93+ lip and fiberglass) 94 JDM Rear Spoiler and Trunk Lid 94 JDM Taillights and Center Panel All this stuff has less than 5000 miles on it, turbo has around 3000 miles on it. The car runs and drives great, starts every time, and never has let me down. It's the perfect drivers car, super fun to drive, handles great and has everything you want and nothing you don't need. It's not perfect, but the paint is in really good shape, not faded or dull. It does have small dings hear and there. With all the good thing there are some bad: The T-Tops leak slightly when you wash the car or when it rains really hard. The few times I've driven it in the rain they did not leak. I bought some Honda Shin-Etsu to help the seals and it seems to help. The holes for the factory spoiler are still in the quarter panels and are plugged. The AC doesn't work. I've never used it, if the weathers nice I take the tops off. There's a dent in the condenser so this might be the cause. The front bumper has some damage on the bottom, the paint has came off in spots and the center grill is broken. 3rd Gear Synchro grinds when you go in aggressively and on high rpm downshifts, it shifts perfectly any other time and if you rev match its not as bad. This is very common in all Toyota transmissions from this era. I was saving and looking for a LSD trans unit to swap in. Has Airbag light on. It came on after I disconnected the battery once and hasn't gone away. (I will probably have the fixed soon) The Wideband quit working, I sent it to Innovate and they didn't find anything wrong. I think there's a break in the signal wire to the gauge. The unit has proper power and functions as it should just won't give a readout. Last edited by mo13007; 02-27-2015 at 10:19 AM.. |
