Ls2 coilpack install

Has anyone installed ls2 coilpack on a sr20det?
Can I use the oem sr coilpack harness, clip off the clips for each coil and wire in the 12v and signal to each new clip for the ls2 coils and then the remaining 2 wires off the clip for the coil I ground them. Would that work out?

And no this won't work. You have to delete the ignitor chip.

I'm going to do the ignitor part, it's easy, but I'm saying if I just clip off the clips for the oem coilpacks and install the ls2 clips, 12v and 5v signal, and then the 2 other wires coming off each new ls2 clip I just ground it, will it work? Or do I have to get a ls2 coilpack and get all technical? Because the s13 harness will already be in order for each cylinder all I have to do is attach the new clips for the new coils? I'm sure this makes sense

That is what I tried to do in theory. I hacked up a spare sr20 coil pack harness and wired in the ls2 connector clips. But it wasn't so cut and dry and I had to basically make sure I had the firing order correct. That was my biggest roadblock.

Irving quick question (read this on your post but want to make sure) there is a small black wire coming off the oem subharness that ties into the 5v wire for the first cylinder coil pack, do I cut that wire off and leave it off? Or I leave it tied into the first cylinder?

Cut it and let it float.

WTF? I was having spark blowout at 14lbs with Bkr6e's at .032 (wrong heat range and too large of a gap). I now run Bkr7e at .026, and now I can actually drive the damn thing.
